Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality Management
Our corporate framework establishing zero-harm work practices, occupational safety discipline, and uncompromising engineering quality across Myanmar.
Corporate EHS & Quality Statement
At Indus Power Myanmar Limited, the safety of our personnel, subcontractors, and the communities adjacent to our construction sites is our primary operating responsibility. We operate under the firm conviction that all workplace injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable through disciplined planning, proper tooling, and uncompromising supervision.
Simultaneously, we maintain strict quality control mechanisms to guarantee that every civil foundation, tower structure, solar power array, and repaired electronic power supply meets or exceeds design tolerances and client requirements.
Zero-Harm Principles
Every employee and contractor has the clear authority and obligation to invoke Stop Work Authority (SWA) whenever an unsafe condition, improper rigging, or missing safety equipment is detected.
- No climbing without certified dual-lanyard fall protection
- No civil excavation without shoring and daily soil check
- No electrical tie-in without Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) validation
Our Four EHS & Quality Commitments
Systematic standards enforced across field construction teams and indoor repair laboratories.
1. Personnel Health & Occupational Safety
We provide complete, certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all operational personnel, including industrial safety helmets with chin straps, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vests, safety glasses, and cut-resistant gloves. Full-body harnesses with energy-absorbing dual lanyards are inspected prior to every tower climb.
2. High-Altitude Rigging & Climbing Safety
Climbing operations are restricted to trained, certified riggers who undergo periodic fitness assessments. Work at height is strictly suspended during adverse weather, including high wind speeds, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and low visibility. Gin poles, winches, and lifting slings are load-tested and certified.
3. Environmental Protection & Waste Management
We minimize site ground disturbance and prevent soil erosion during civil excavation. Waste concrete, scrap steel, and construction debris are removed from site compounds. Spent lead-acid and lithium batteries are managed under hazardous waste handling procedures to prevent chemical contamination.
4. Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
All civil works undergo concrete slump testing, compressive strength cylinder testing, and formal curing logs. Tower erection includes calibrated torque verification on every bolt connection and theodolite-verified verticality inspection. Repaired power modules undergo calibrated electronic load testing.
Daily Operational Safety Controls
How our safety protocols are implemented on active sites every single day.
Daily Toolbox Meetings
Before commencement of any work shift, the site supervisor conducts a mandatory toolbox talk detailing daily tasks, specific hazards, weather conditions, emergency contact procedures, and assigned roles.
Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Every major site activity—crane lifting, deep excavation, tower erection, or electrical tie-in—is preceded by a written Job Safety Analysis identifying potential risks and required mitigating controls.
Equipment Inspection & Tagging
All lifting tackle, safety harnesses, power tools, and electrical generators are inspected on a daily schedule. Defective or worn items are immediately removed from service and destroyed.
Laboratory Quality Standards in Yangon
Our component-level rectifier repair facility adheres to rigorous electronics handling standards:
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Grounded anti-static mats, wrist straps, and dissipative workbench surfaces protect delicate microcontrollers and PWM ICs.
- Calibrated Test Equipment: Digital storage oscilloscopes, multimeters, and variable load banks are regularly checked against precision reference sources.
- Thermal Burn-In Verification: Replaced components and power modules run under full load for extended validation cycles to eliminate infant mortality failures before shipment.
